Salvatore Giammetti

Head of CCS, Eni

Mr. Giammetti holds a MSc degree in Earth Science from the University of Naples, Italy. He works with Eni since 1998 having about 30 years of diversified international experience in the oil and gas industry, ranging from overseas assignment as exploration manager to the responsibility at Eni HQ of the direction of geology and geophysics worldwide services and subsequently to directive roles as Managing Director of Eni affiliates abroad. In September 2020 he returned to Eni HQ in Milan where he currently is the Head of CCUS Department, responsible for coordinating and developing business and strategies relevant to Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage activities worldwide.
